As a maternity photographer based in Elburg, I focus on capturing that special in-between moment: your anticipation. At By Grace Photography, maternity photography is central — I create pure, loving images that naturally show your connection and the beautiful curve of your belly. My approach is personal and calm. Before we plan the shoot, we discuss what you like: mood, location (natural light and landscapes on the Veluwe or the bright comfort of my Elburg studio), clothing style, and any extra wishes. For outdoor locations I’m happy to reserve a second date so the weather won’t cause stress. During the session I guide you gently so poses feel natural — no stiff posing, but loving moments and subtle interaction. A practical advantage of my maternity shoots is the wardrobe collection: you may borrow gowns from my studio free of charge. These dresses are specially selected to flatter the belly and give you multiple looks without a lot of planning. You can try dresses in the studio beforehand so you arrive relaxed at the agreed location. I prefer to photograph pregnancies between weeks 30 and 36; the bump is nicely rounded then and light and composition work best. In post-processing I keep the style restrained and natural: soft tones, careful handling of light and contrast, and attention to skin tones.
