I’m Maaike from Quay Photography — a specialist in maternity photography based in Bergen op Zoom. I’m passionate about stories of growth and anticipation, and about those quiet, intimate moments when you pause together. For me a maternity shoot is more than a series of images; it’s about preserving a phase you’ll later remember as “those good old days.” My approach is warm, personal and relaxed. I work in a documentary, mood-driven style: no forced poses, but inviting moments where real emotion and connection take center stage. Whether you choose a soft, light series in your (bed)room, a golden sunset at a nearby location, or a cozy indoor setting, I create a calm atmosphere where you feel comfortable. That ease translates into natural bump photography and maternity photos you’ll still love years from now. As an experienced photographer (shooting professionally since 2019), I combine an artistic eye with attention to detail. I focus on light, composition and the small intimate things: hands on the bump, exchanged glances between partners, and subtle details like clothing or the nursery. My style is authentic, artistic and cinematic — photography that brings you back to the feeling of that day. The process is simple and pleasant: we agree together on place and time, I give practical tips beforehand (clothing, timing, optional props) and during the shoot I gently guide you through moments. After the session I carefully select and edit the images so each maternity photo retains its atmosphere and emotion.
