As a specialist in pregnancy photography, I’m Suzan Cillekens, and I love capturing this special period of expectation in a way that feels warm, sincere and timeless. Since becoming a mother myself I understand how quickly time passes and how precious the memories of those months are. That’s why I devote my heart and soul to maternity photography: images that are not only beautiful, but that also preserve the feeling of that time. My approach is personal and relaxed. During a pregnancy shoot I want you to feel welcome and at ease. No stiff poses or forced smiles, but moments where you are calmly connected with one another. I work from authenticity: subtle touches, soft looks and the beautiful shapes of the pregnant bump are central. Through light, composition and attention to detail, images are created that will bring you straight back to that feeling. I believe in tangible memories. After the shoot I’m happy to help you choose images and advise on beautiful wall art or an album in my studio in Roggel. Those physical prints add an extra dimension to your story and are often treasured in the home and passed down to future generations. How I work: we start with a short, personal contact so I can learn your wishes and expectations. During the session I create a calm atmosphere in which you can relax. I give subtle guidance and encourage natural interaction; the most beautiful images often appear when you’re not consciously looking at the camera. After the shoot I select the best photos and retouch them professionally, paying attention to color and atmosphere that match your story.
