As a maternity photography specialist in Helmond, I’m Dana van den Heuvel, and I capture this special pregnancy time with a warm, honest and spontaneous approach. For me, a maternity session is about more than a beautiful belly photo; it’s about the small touches, those meaningful glances and the feeling of being together. My style is lifestyle photography: no forced poses, just natural moments where you can be yourselves. I like to shoot in a place where you feel safe and relaxed — whether that’s a quiet outdoor location or the comfort of your own home. With years of experience working with children and a background in theatre training and childcare, I know how to create atmosphere and help everyone, especially the expectant mother, feel calm and radiant in front of the camera. You’ll often see me genuinely enjoying the session; that energy helps bring out spontaneous, loving images. Preparation is important to me. You’ll receive a styling guide so clothing and colours work beautifully together in the final images. During an initial consultation we’ll discuss what matters most to you and which moments you’d like to remember. On the day of the shoot I work calmly and attentively: I take my time, follow your rhythm and pay attention to the little details — from a trembling hand to tiny feet — that make a series of photos truly personal. My talent is creating timeless images you’ll look back on with a smile. Whether you prefer understated, soft photos or something playful and free, I provide warm retouching that suits the mood of this period.
