I'm Daf, a photographer based in Alkmaar specializing in maternity photography. My passion is capturing this brief, special period: the strength of your body, the anticipation and the emotions around the arrival of a new child. As a mother of two young children I know how quickly these moments fade — I aim to preserve that vulnerability and pride forever in warm, spontaneous pregnancy images. My style is honest, pure and relaxed. I work with a lifestyle approach: minimal posing, plenty of space for natural interaction and subtle guidance that leads to genuine moments. Whether we photograph in the dunes at sunset, on the beach, in the light-filled studio or comfortably at your home — I always create a trusting atmosphere so you feel at ease and your pregnancy glow truly shines through. Preparation matters to me. I send color palettes and outfit tips in advance, and you can use my client closet or choose one of my maternity dresses and kimonos. Together we’ll coordinate location, clothing and any accessories so the final result is a cohesive set of images that reflect your wishes and personality. Many expectant mothers choose to include their partner or the whole family — that’s always possible, and I guide you step by step so everyone feels comfortable. As a maternity photography specialist I usually recommend scheduling the session between weeks 28–35, but I will always consider your energy and situation and adapt the timing accordingly. During the maternity shoot I offer simple prompts and room for spontaneity; from intimate portraits to tender family and partner images. After the session I carefully select and edit the photos in my signature warm style and deliver them via a personal online gallery.
