I’m Brenda from Purafotografie, based in Heerhugowaard, and I specialize in maternity photography. For me, a pregnancy shoot is about more than beautiful images: it’s about capturing the connection, anticipation and tenderness that make this period so unique. My style is warm, intimate and authentic — I work with calmness and kindness so you truly feel at ease. Why choose a maternity shoot with me? I focus entirely on maternity photography and understand the emotion behind every moment. I pay attention to the little details: how hands rest on the belly, the subtle looks between partners, the way soft light caresses the skin. My images have a timeless, dreamy color palette; they feel warm and natural — perfect for returning to those memories again and again. How I work: we start with a relaxed introduction so I can learn your wishes and preferred style. During the session I create a safe, cozy atmosphere where spontaneous moments can arise — no forced poses, just gentle guidance and calm direction. I provide styling advice and you’re welcome to use my client wardrobe to borrow simple, flattering outfits that suit the warm, soft aesthetic I aim for. We choose the location together: often atmospheric indoor spaces or natural, peaceful spots in and around Heerhugowaard. My goal is always the same: to make space for connection so that the love and expectation you feel come through naturally in the images. After the shoot I carefully edit the photos, staying faithful to the natural look and emotion of the moments. As a mother of three, I know how quickly these moments pass and how valuable tangible memories are.
