As a specialist in maternity photography, I capture your pregnancy in an intimate, atmospheric and sincere way. From my base in Huizen I work with care, calm and natural light to create images that show your strength, femininity and the special nature of this moment. My approach is personal: first I want to hear your story so we can design a photoshoot together that truly fits you. Why choose a maternity shoot with me? I combine an artistic eye with gentle guidance. With my background in healthcare I understand how close and vulnerable these moments can be; that makes me attentive and involved in my work. During the shoot I help you with posing, choose the most flattering light and support you with warmth and patience — so tension quickly gives way to relaxation and authentic emotion. My style is timeless and pared-down: playing with light, shapes and muted colors. I believe photos gain value when they are tangible. That is why I put a lot of care into natural post-production and into physical products such as photo boxes, mats and albums. After the shoot we plan a reveal session in which you view the selected images with me; this remains a special experience and helps you choose which photos you want to have printed. How do we work together? Beforehand we have an informal introductory conversation to discuss your wishes and the best location — at home, in nature or in a beautiful hotel space. A maternity shoot takes time: we start gently and build toward images that really suit you. During the session I give clear direction, but there is always room for spontaneity and feeling. I photograph from my base in Huizen, but I’m happy to come to any location where you feel safe and comfortable.
