As a maternity photographer at FotoGrietje I love capturing that special period as you prepare for something new. My style is light, colorful and pure — photography that is powerful through simplicity. I mainly work in and around Deventer (and I also visit the Haarlem area regularly), and I help you find a location that suits your wishes: intimate in the studio, relaxed outdoors in nature, or cozy at home. The goal is always the same: natural, authentic maternity photos in which you recognise yourselves — no unnecessary fuss, but full of feeling and character. My approach is personal and practical. Before the shoot we discuss your ideas and I give advice on the best light, colour palettes and locations. During the session I create a relaxed atmosphere where you can hold each other, laugh and simply be together. That produces spontaneous, loving images as well as strong portraits of the mother, with careful attention to belly photography. After the shoot you choose which images you want edited; I deliver high-resolution photos so you can use them right away for prints, an album or to hang on the wall. Transparency and choice are important to me: I explain what to expect and give room for the decisions you want to make. My background — trained at the Fotovakschool and years of experience as a full-time photographer — guarantees that technical quality and a sensitive eye go hand in hand.
