As a specialist in maternity photography, Marieke Photography is fully dedicated to capturing your unique pregnancy journey. My style is pure, spontaneous and personal — I mainly work with daylight so the images feel natural and the emotion of the moment remains central. You can choose a relaxed session in my cosy studio in Hengelo or an outdoor location in Enschede and the surrounding area; both options allow for intimate, warm portraits of the growing bump and your time together. Before the shoot we discuss your wishes, preferred style and possible locations, so the session feels like an enjoyable outing rather than a chore. During the shoot I create a calm, relaxed atmosphere that makes room for cuddles, an outfit change and natural posing. Partner photos are of course possible — often the interactions between you create the most authentic moments. Timing and approach: I recommend scheduling a maternity shoot around 30–35 weeks; during this period the bump usually looks beautiful and expectant mothers still often feel energetic enough. In the studio comfort is the priority: it’s warm and peaceful, and I provide lovely fabrics and simple props to create subtle bump-focused imagery. For outdoor sessions I like to choose a location together in Enschede or the nearby area that reflects your style — often the most spontaneous and meaningful images come from a place that resonates with you. You will receive professionally edited photos; my aim is timeless images you’ll love to look back on. If you plan to capture your newborn after the birth, I can easily combine a session later with a newborn or family shoot.
