As a maternity photographer based in Groot IJsselmonde, I’m Angela Slingerland and I specialise in capturing the unique intimacy of your pregnancy. My maternity photography is pure, colorful and full of emotion: no forced poses, but real moments in which love and anticipation are palpable. I believe a good maternity session not only produces beautiful images, but also creates a memory you’ll return to with warmth. What sets my approach apart is a calm, documentary style. I pay attention to light, details and the small touches that say so much. During a maternity session I aim for a relaxed atmosphere: we meet first (preferably over a cup of coffee), discuss your wishes and create a setting where you feel at ease. That relaxed mood allows spontaneous moments to emerge — a hand on the belly, a shared glance — moments that show genuine connection and translate beautifully into photographs. I travel across the Netherlands, with my base in Groot IJsselmonde. Whether the shoot takes place in your home, outdoors in a favourite spot, or at another meaningful location, I provide gentle guidance and a creative eye so the photo series becomes recognisable and personal. My experience and attention to detail ensure that small moments become large in the frame. For me, photography is above all about capturing feeling and story. Growing up in Zeeland and spending years behind the camera with passion has shaped me into the photographer I am today: curious, creative and involved. Since founding my business in 2016, I have enjoyed meeting parents-to-be and documenting their pregnancies in a warm, respectful way.
