As a maternity photography specialist based in Sassenheim, I’m Nikki Castel and I’m dedicated to creating warm, relaxed pregnancy photos that tell your story. A maternity shoot for me is about how you wait together, how the bump shows, and the small details that become meaningful memories. My approach is personal and calm — I want you to feel comfortable so the images remain honest and natural. My style is natural daylight: I prefer soft, natural light by a large window or a beautiful outdoor location. Together we choose a setting that suits you — forest, beach, dunes, park or an intimate at-home session if there’s enough daylight. I help with location and wardrobe choices and always send a brochure with color and clothing tips. There are also 4–5 gowns available to borrow during the shoot, so you can feel beautiful without arranging too much yourself. During the maternity shoot I keep things relaxed and playful. I give gentle direction and small prompts, but I’m not a fan of stiff posing. I prefer to capture spontaneous moments, touches and details — hands on the bump, intimate glances, the shapes and textures of this time. I take my time, follow your rhythm and welcome personal wishes such as tasteful lingerie images or a mix of indoor and outdoor photos. Why choose me?
