I’m Wiesje — a curly-haired mom and photographer from Scheveningen — and maternity photography is one of my greatest passions. As a specialist in maternity shoots I work with a soft, light and timeless style that honours both the vulnerability and strength of your body during this special time. My aim is for you to feel beautiful, seen and comfortable in front of my lens — a memory you’ll proudly look back on. My approach is personal and attentive. Before we meet I like to listen to your wishes: do you prefer an intimate session at home, or the dunes and beach of Scheveningen as your backdrop? Both are favourites — the sand and the sound of the sea often create the calm, emotional atmosphere that suits belly photography perfectly. During the shoot I make sure the mood stays relaxed: little pressure, plenty of freedom. I’ll guide you gently, suggest simple poses, and encourage movement and connection so the images feel spontaneous and authentic. Practically, I’m happy to help you prepare: I give clothing tips so the focus remains on your silhouette and nothing distracts with busy prints or text. You’re also welcome to use my client closet with dresses and kimonos — ideal choices for maternity photos that feel soft and natural. For timing I recommend booking a maternity shoot from around 30 weeks, so your bump is nicely visible while you can still move comfortably. My own journey toward motherhood deepened my view of pregnancy: I know how precious and sometimes fragile this period can feel. That experience makes me especially mindful of your story and insecurities; I work with respect and warmth so every mother feels seen and strong.
