As a photographer specializing in maternity photography, I — Brenda Riethoven — love capturing that special period when your life is changing. My focus is on creating calm, intimate maternity portraits that highlight the emotion, connection and beauty of your pregnancy. Because maternity photography is one of my primary specialisms, I aim to produce images that are meaningful now and become cherished keepsakes for years to come. My approach is personal and unhurried. Before the pregnancy shoot we always get in touch to discuss your wishes: where you want to be photographed (studio or a favourite location), which style appeals to you, and whether there are special requests for clothing or props. In preparation I give practical clothing tips so the photos form a calm, cohesive whole. During the session I create a relaxed atmosphere — a cup of tea, attention to privacy, and the space to work at the rhythm of you and your body. You can choose a studio session in The Hague or a pregnancy shoot on location, for example among the dunes or on the beach — locations I often recommend for their soft, natural light and timeless look. During the shoot I provide gentle guidance so poses remain natural and relaxed; my style emphasizes authenticity and an honest representation of this life phase. After the session I carefully select and edit the images. You will receive an online gallery where you can easily choose your favourite photos. In addition to digital files I offer a range of print and wall-art options — from fine art prints to innovative materials — so your images can look beautiful on your walls. What drives me is capturing real moments: the waiting, the anticipation, and the bond between expectant parents.
