I’m Jake — born in Brazil and now based in The Hague — and maternity photography is one of my greatest passions and core specializations. Since 2019 I’ve focused on maternity work and I love capturing this intimate, meaningful phase in a way that feels natural, warm and timeless. My approach is lifestyle-oriented: I create a relaxed atmosphere where you and your partner (and, if you wish, other children or pets) can be yourselves. The ideal time for a pregnancy photoshoot is usually between 32 and 35 weeks; at that stage your bump is beautifully visible and you’ll often still feel comfortable during the session. Whether we choose a dreamy spot in The Hague — such as the dunes of Kijkduin or a quiet park — or an intimate at-home session in soft daylight, I guide you through every step so the images reflect your story. What sets me apart as a maternity specialist is my personal, warm style and my ability to bring calm to the session. I give gentle directions and suggestions, but leave plenty of room for spontaneous moments: touches, looks, small movements that show real connection. My goal is to deliver maternity photos that let you relive that same warm feeling whenever you look at them. Practically, we work together from start to finish: we schedule a short intake (online or in person), discuss location, clothing and any album wishes. In my packages you can choose delivery of the full gallery or a curated set of edited images, and there is an option for a 20x20 fine art album as a lasting keepsake. Travel fees may apply for locations outside The Hague, but I always make sure everything is clearly discussed in advance.
