I am Nelleke Tieman, a spontaneous and bold photographer from Wassenaar with a genuine passion for maternity photography. After studying Photographic Design at the Fotovakschool in Amsterdam and gaining valuable experience at Studio Damon, I specialized in capturing that vulnerable yet powerful period when new life is growing. My mission is to create maternity photos that are not only beautiful, but also sincere and tactile—memories you will want to return to again and again. As a specialist in maternity photography I work with a calm, personal approach. For me, a maternity shoot is about your story: the connection between partners, the contours of the bump, subtle touches and those small, intimate moments. My style is spontaneous and natural; I create a relaxed atmosphere so you can be yourselves. By combining light, composition and modest posing I produce timeless images where emotion and silhouette come together. Communication with my clients is direct and engaged. We start with an introductory meeting in which we discuss your wishes and ideas—everything from location to wardrobe and mood. On the day itself I work calmly and purposefully: I give clear, gentle direction and leave room for spontaneous moments. Many of the best maternity photos emerge from small, unforced interactions; that is where my strength lies. I often use outdoor locations in and around Wassenaar to take advantage of natural light and scenic accents. My background in photographic design and experience as a second shooter have taught me how to read the story of a moment and translate it into a visually strong image. I edit all images myself so the final gallery forms a coherent whole with careful attention to color, contrast and emotion.
