As a specialist in maternity photography I — Silvia of Love at First Glimpse — lovingly capture the moments that you may later look back on with a smile. My focus is on maternity shoots: I work calmly and respectfully to highlight the natural strength of your pregnancy and the beauty of your bump. My style is soft, relaxed and light-sensitive. I prefer to photograph at a beautiful outdoor location in or around De Meern, but if you feel more comfortable at home or the weather is uncooperative, I’m happy to come to you. I keep things simple: minimal posing, strong attention to genuine connection, small directions and plenty of room for spontaneous moments. The result is honest images that feel true and that you recognise instantly. I want you to feel at ease: that’s why we always schedule a meet-and-greet to discuss where you’d like to be photographed, which moments are important to you, and whether you’d like to use any of the dresses I have available to enhance your look. During the shoot I create a warm, relaxed atmosphere — always respecting your boundaries — so that even women who don’t usually enjoy being photographed feel beautiful and seen. My motivation is personal: I’m a mother of four and I know how precious images from this special time are. Photography for me is a blend of craft and heart: technically correct work with light and composition, combined with presence, attention and empathy.
