Maternity photography is one of my passions: at UitjedakFotografie in Nieuwegein I (Alexandra) work from experience and intuition to capture this unique period in a natural, relaxed way. As a specialist in maternity photography I know how to photograph your pride, warmth and gentle vulnerability — with attention to light, posing and genuine emotion. My approach is personal and approachable. A maternity shoot lasts about three quarters of an hour (±45 minutes); that gives us enough time for several setups and outfit changes, while keeping the session comfortable and relaxed. The ideal window is between 32 and 36 weeks, when the bump is beautifully rounded and the atmosphere is often still pleasant. Before the shoot we discuss your wishes: which style you prefer, any props or personal items you’d like to bring (tiny shoes, a toy, wraps, ribbons) and whether your partner or children will join. In my Nieuwegein studio I offer a range of backdrops and props. During the shoot I put you at ease with a calm, friendly approach — I always take many photos because that series often produces moments of true emotion and spontaneous smiles. After the session we schedule a viewing appointment and you’ll receive a secure link to download the files digitally or to order professional prints through a trusted photo lab. A unique aspect of UitjedakFotografie is our collaboration with bodypaint artist Tera Bakker. If you’d like a special bellypaint, Tera creates personalised, safe and professional designs; we then photograph the result in a tasteful way, ideal as wall art or for your birth announcement. Of course we discuss everything in advance and ensure a relaxed experience in our warm studio.
