I am Petra of Theodora Fotografie and maternity photography is one of my greatest passions. As a specialist in pregnancy photography in Rhenen, I don’t make standard pictures but create images with atmosphere, contrast and attention to detail. My style is contrast-rich and often softly dramatic: dark backgrounds, careful use of light and subtle retouching ensure the focus is fully on your silhouette and the emotion of the moment. Why choose a maternity shoot with me? I combine decades of experience — including influences from my ballet background — with a welcoming, warm studio experience. This helps me guide you naturally into flattering poses so the photos look elegant and relaxed. In the studio you’ll find a collection of maternity gowns and accessories; I also use additional tools such as wind and smoke machines to create dramatic, almost painterly images when you wish. How do I work with you? We start with a short contact moment to discuss your wishes: do you want intimate close-ups of the belly, a glamorous full-length look or a subtle fine-art portrait? During the shoot I take my time: I provide a warm space, calm while posing and clear, friendly directions. My approach is personal and focused on creating a special experience — a moment where you feel seen and later look back with pride. What do you receive? Besides high-resolution digital files, I assist with image selection and offer extra edits in black-and-white when that strengthens the mood.
